All-New 2019 Chevrolet Corvette From $56,590 In The U.S.

All-New 2018 Jaguar XJ From $75,400 In The U.S.

Jaguar has announced pricing and range details of their updated flagship, the 2018 XJ which is set for a launch this fall.

2018 Jaguar XJ

2018 Jaguar XJ

The highlight of the 2018MY refresh is of course the new XJR575 which now offers 575hp out of its supercharged 5.0-liter V8.

0-60mph comes in 4.2 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.4) while the top speed is set at an adequate 186mph (300km/h). Jaguar reckons the new XJR575 needs 44 seconds of wide open throttle to hit its top speed from a standstill.

To reflect the angrier character of the big XJ, Jaguar has given it a slightly more aggressive look, including a different front bumper, twin bonnet louvers, bigger front air intakes, fatter side sills, a retractable rear wing and a set of 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, among other features.

The rest of the 2018MY XJ range has been updated with the latest tech features, including 4G Wi-Fi capability, a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display that supports pinch and zoom, Forward Traffic Detection, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor, and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, among others. All-New Lotus Evora GT430 Sport From £104,500 In The UK

After introducing us to the new Evora GT430 back in July, Lotus is now expanding the lineup with the addition of the Evora GT430 Sport, unhindered by any extra downforce-creating aerodynamic parts.

Lotus Evora GT430 Sport

Lotus Evora GT430 Sport

In other words, it’s a sleeker and more street focused GT430, which may not be as capable around the track as its massive winged counterpart, but will instead reach a higher top speed, rated at 196 mph (315 km/h).

Both the GT430 and GT430 Sport are powered by the same 3.5-liter supercharged V6 unit, pounding 430 HP (436 PS) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) into the pavement, while automatic versions feature an extra 10 Nm (7.3 lb-ft) of torque.

Since it’s missing some of the GT430’s aero elements, the Sport version weighs 10 kg (22 lbs) less, coming in at 1,248 kg dry (2,751 lbs) and bringing the power-to-weight ratio up to 345 hp/tonne. Also, thanks to its top speed of 196 mph, the Evora GT430 Sport is officially Lotus’ fastest production car ever, despite its £104,500 price tag being more forgiving than the GT430’s. All-New 2017 Cadillac XT5 Mild Hybrid From $72,000 In China

General Motors is present at the 2017 Chengdu Motor Show with a host of new cars, including the XT5 equipped with a mild hybrid system.

It’s the first of its kind for the brand in China, and it’s said to not only enhance the fuel efficiency, which is now 7.9 l/100 km (29.77 US mpg / 36 UK mpg), but also to improve driving agility and ride comfort in start/stop events, acceleration, cruising, and braking.

The SUV’s internal combustion engine works with the electric motor when it picks up speed, helping increase its power and acceleration. Additionally, the electric motor also recovers the braking energy and the excess power as the XT5 cruises on the road, boosting its energy efficiency, and gathering momentum for the next acceleration.

Power is sent channeled to the ground via a 9-speed automatic transmission, which is said to have been calibrated for the urban environment. The gearbox adds one gear for the low and medium speed range, thus increasing the low-speed gear ratio, which allows the vehicle to move smoothly on congested roads.

This version of the XT5 retains its bold look on the outside, as well as its features in the cabin, while adding the Cadillac User Experience (CUE), a feature that monitors the mild hybrid system.

Apps such as NetEase, Cloud Music, and Kaola FM, along with others, are also part of the offerings, and so is the 10th-gen OnStar services.

The vehicle is also equipped with what the automaker calls “an industry-first Rear Camera Mirror to a Bose Centerpoint surround sound system”.

The Cadillac XT5 mild hybrid replaces the XT5 28T Platinum 4WD and 28T Advanced 4WD in the brand’s local lineup, and it can be had in two versions: XT5 28E Platinum 4WD and 28E Advanced 4WD, priced from RMB 539,900 ($81,041), and RMB 479,900 ($72,035), respectively.
