The Ford Everest range is growing in Australia with the launch of the new Everest Sport RWD, priced from AU$62,790 ($40,737).
A host of features come standard on the Everest Sport RWD. These include black exterior finishes alongside 20-inch alloy wheels, an ‘Everest’ badge on the bonnet and a Sport badge on the rear, a hands-free power liftgate, leather-accented Sport-embossed front seats with heating/cooling, 10-way power driver’s seat with memory setting, 8-way power passenger seat, and an exclusive color dubbed Blue Lightning. In addition to launching the Everest Sport RWD, Ford Australia has made updates to the rest of the Everest Sport range for the middle of the 2023 model year. For example, the Everest Platinum now comes standard with steel underbody protection and a black painted roof. Everest Platinum customers can also opt for the Off-Road Pack at no cost, swapping out the 21-inch wheels for 18-inch ones with all-terrain tires.

Slotted beneath the skin of the Everest Sport RWD is the same 2.0-liter biturbo diesel four-cylinder that is available in other models, pumping out 154 kW (206 hp) at 3,750 rpm and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque between 1,750 and 2,000 rpm.

Ford Australia has also revealed that Everest Trend 4WD and Sport 4WD models produced from March 2023 onwards will be available with a Touring pack that includes black roof rails, a 360-degree camera, zone lighting, tow bar, and integrated trailer brake controller.

“Everest Sport has proven to be a very popular model since we revealed the Next-Generation Everest range earlier this year,” Ford Australia president and chief executive Andrew Birkic said. “With the introduction of Everest Sport RWD we are offering our customers more choice, with a very stylish vehicle that can tow the boat and fit the family in safety and comfort.”
