2024 Hyundai Sonata from $27,500 in the U.S.

The facelifted 2024 Hyundai Sonata will start at $27,500 in the United States and top out at $37,200 excluding a $1,115 delivery charge. While the starting price is higher than the 2023, this is because Hyundai has dropped last year’s entry-level SE, meaning the range now starts with the SEL.

Driving the entry-level Sonata SEL is a 2.5-liter GDI four-cylinder engine that is expected to produce the same 191 hp and 181 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque as last year’s model. The 2023 Sonata had started at $25,450 before delivery while the SEL was $27,975 excluding delivery, meaning the 2024 Sonata SEL is slightly cheaper than the 2023 model.

As standard, the Sonata SEL has an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels but for customers willing to pay an extra $1,500, it can be optioned with all-wheel drive in the SEL AWD model. The range then includes the new SEL Convenience available from $30,550 with the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder, eight-speed auto, and front-wheel drive.
Those seeking some more punch can order the 2024 Sonata in N Line guise. This model starts at $34,950, a small increase over the $34,825 starting price of the 2023 model. It retains the same 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder expected to push out 290 hp and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm) of torque while coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Unfortunately, the Sonata N Line is not available with all-wheel drive.
