Dodge has announced pricing for the 2021 Charger lineup.
Starting with the new Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, the model starts at $78,595 and features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 797 hp (594 kW / 808 PS) and 707 lb-ft (958 Nm) of torque.
The engine is connected to an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the super sedan to hit a top speed of 203 mph (326 km/h) and run the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds at 129 mph (207 km/h). Dodge says this makes the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye the “most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.”
Buyers with smaller budgets can opt for the Charger SRT Hellcat which starts at $69,995. The model has been upgraded for 2021 as its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine now produces 717 hp (535 kW / 727 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque – an increase of 10 hp (7 kW / 10 PS).
If that’s still out of your price range, there’s the Charger Scat Pack which “offers the most horsepower per dollar of any sedan in the industry.” It starts at $41,095 and features a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque.
Continuing further down the lineup is the $36,995 Charger R/T. It has a 5.7-liter V8 pumping out 370 hp (276 kW / 375 PS) and 395 lb-ft (535 Nm) of torque.
At the bottom of the lineup is the Charger SXT which starts at $29,995. The entry-level model has a 3.6-liter V6 which produces 292 hp (218 kW / 296 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque.
The V6 also powers the Charger SXT AWD, GT and GT AWD, but it’s a tad more powerful in these models thanks to a cold-air induction system, a sport-tuned exhaust and a revised engine calibration. These modifications boost the output to 300 hp (224 kW /304 PS) and 264 lb-ft (357 Nm) of torque.
Speaking of all-wheel drive variants, they get new 20-inch wheels for 2021. They feature a Satin Carbon finish and are standard on the Charger GT AWD. However, they’re optional on the SXT AWD.
The 2021 Dodge Charger will go up for order in September and deliveries are slated to begin early next year.
