All-New 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid From $36,690 In The U.S.

The Kia Sorento Hybrid has been updated for the 2024 model year in the United States but before you get too excited, Americans will not yet receive the facelifted Sorento unveiled in Korea in July. That’ll probably have to wait until 2025MY.

Limited changes have been made to the SUV. One of them is the abandonment of Runway Red (pictured) as an available color, a shame given how much we liked it. It seems Kia’s press department also liked Runway Red as it continues to use it for photos of the SUV. A welcome alteration is the fact that the Gravity Blue paint can now be paired with a Navy interior color pack that covers the front and rear seats in perforated Navy leather with a touch of blue on the steering wheel. Kia has also switched from a black headliner to a gray one for the Navy interior pack.
Continuing to sit at the base of the range is the Sorento Hybrid EX FWD priced from $36,690 excluding a $1,325 destination charge. This model, like all others, is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder working alongside a 44 kW electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission. All up, the Sorento Hybrid produces 227 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. The 2023 Sorento Hybrid EX FWD had started at $36,590 plus a $1,295 destination charge.

Shoppers looking to upgrade to an EX with all-wheel drive will need to cough up $38,990, a $600 increase from last year. Continuing to top out the range is the Sorento Hybrid SX-P now priced from $42,490 as opposed to the $42,390 of last year.

A plethora of safety features come standard across the range. In fact, all trim levels include Blind Sport Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, High Beam Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Alert. The only added safety features found in the SX-P are Parking Collision Avoidance – Rear, a Surround View Monitor, and a Blind View Monitor.
