All-New 2024 Tesla Model X Plaid From $89,990 In The U.S.

Tesla’s pricing has changed more times than we can count this year, and the potent Model X Plaid is the firm’s latest offering to have its price adjusted. Unfortunately, for prospective customers, it is a price hike.
The electric car manufacturer recently updated its website and it shows that the Model X Plaid now commands a starting price of $94,990 in the United States. This represents a 5.6% increase from the $89,990 it had been selling for, without including $1,640 in fees. This price is also for a Model X Plaid with 20-inch wheels as those equipped with 22-inch shoes have a $100,490 starting price.
While it is unclear why Tesla has increased the price of the Model X Plaid, it likely has something to do with the massive price cuts it made in early September. At the time, Tesla cut the starting price of the Model X Plaid by a whopping $18,500, bringing it down from $108,490 to $89,900 in a bid to drive sales. Tesla may have now decided that such a large price cut wasn’t a wise move and has raised it back up by $5,000.

Even at $94,990, one could argue that the Model X Plaid remains a bargain among performance SUVs, especially when you consider just how powerful and capable it is in a straight line. Like the Model S Plaid, it features three electric motors that combine to produce 1,020 hp. That allows it to sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a jaw-dropping 2.5 seconds and power down the quarter-mile in 9.9 seconds. The Model X Plaid also provides 333 miles (536 km) of EPA-estimated range, meaning it’s also suitable for long trips, not just quick blasts down the drag strip.
